The Birth Of Pedigree Sindy 1962
Sindy is a British 12" Teenage Fashion doll first produced in 1962 by Pedigree Toys in Kent. She was given a thickly rooted bobbed or bubble-cut hairstyle available in brunette, blonde or auburn, when these colours were produced they would sometimes vary in tone giving a variety of shades, this happened throughout Sindys production life. Sindys first wardrobe was up to date, she was first sold in blue jeans and a red, white, and blue horizontal striped sweater, this was called Weekenders. In 1968 Sindy was given a glamorous new hairstyle and thickly rooted black hair eyelashes, her long hair was now side parted with a beautiful flick-up curl.
